The City of League City is extending conservation request issued 6/8/2011. We are now asking residents to discontinue all irrigation of landscaping and unnecessary water usage through the weekend (6/12/11).
Reduced water usage is necessary until repairs are complete on a leak in the 42-inch water transmission line on State Hwy. 3. This waterline supplies the majority of the water required to meet the daily demand of League City.

To help support the firefighters, rescue workers and citizens involved in the fight against nature, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) has donated $25,000 to The Salvation Army relief efforts.
BCBSTX is also prepared to respond to the needs of our groups and members, and will continue to monitor the situation. We will be placing information on our website, Facebook and Twitter about accessing medical care if displaced by the wildfires and needing medical services.
